Rooted in Communities

The World Heritage Site is cared for by 25 local and national partners, including local farmers, town & parish councils, Wiltshire Council, English Heritage, the National Trust, Historic England, and specialists in archaeology, the natural environment, museums and tourism.

Our Partnership is rooted in the ambition of enhancing the active participation of local communities, fulfilling one of the strategic objectives of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee.
