- The National Trust is marking 300 Years of William Stukeley with an exhibition in the barn at Avebury of several of his works reproduced from 25 June – 10 November. Families can also enjoy Summer of Stukeley with a Family activity booklet and drop-in Sketch like Stukeley sessions. The National Trust are also running Family Stone Circle Tours in August

- If you’re yet to visit, English Heritage exhibition Circles of Stone: Stonehenge and Prehistoric Japan at Stonehenge is open until 3 September. Budding young archaeologists can also enjoy Stonehenge Kids Dig over the summer holidays.

- At The Salisbury Museum, at one of several Discovery Days over the holidays you can Climb a Monolith on Tuesday 15 August – delivered in partnership with English Heritage.

- New exhibition Wessex Airscapes, Elevating Wiltshire is open at Wiltshire Museum until 15 October, combining the aerial photography of Hedley Thorne and landscape paintings and prints of Anna Dillon – and including scenes in the World Heritage Site.

- Booking is open for one day conference: Stone Circles across Eurasia, Sainsbury Institute and English Heritage taking place at St John’s Place, Salisbury on Tuesday 29 August 2023. In conjunction with exhibition Circles of Stone: Stonehenge and Prehistoric Japan and open to the public, the conference will bring together specialists from Japan and the UK to present recent work on stone circles and associated prehistoric monuments across Eurasia. The conference is organised by Simon Kaner FSA and English Heritage’s Heather Sebire FSA.
